At Remy's Reach Animal Rescue, every rescue has a story, and every adoption is a celebration! Thanks to our incredible supporters, volunteers, and adopters, we’ve helped countless animals find their forever homes. Here are some of our favorite happy tails!
📍 Lotties's Story: This success story format is a bit different than the others....this success story is written word for word by Lottie's amazing forever mom. We could have never verbalized this better than the perfect words sent by her mom....so we decided to just post exactly what we received...so here we go!

When we adopted Lottie from Remy's Reach Animal Rescue, we thought we were bringing home a dog. Instead we brought home joy, laughter, and a very dedicated personal shadow.
Lottie has chosen my husband as her person and follows him everywhere--no task too small, no room off-limits. After 15 years working in animal welfare, he says Lottie is the one who finally made him understand the true meaning of "Be the person your dog things you are." Apparently, she thinks he's exceptional--and we're inclined to agree!
Lottie is also incredibly gentle with our medically complex son. She willingly rides in his wheelchair and curls up nearby to cuddle, always right where she's needed most. Her presence has brought comfort, calm, and so much love into our home.
We are endlessly grateful to Remy's Reach Animal Rescue for bringing this special girl into our lives. Lottie didn't just find a family.....she completed ours!
Wow! These words are powerful and we knew Lottie would make us proud! We couldn't be happier for you Lottie....you've hit the jackpot, sweet girl!!!
📍 Bugsy's Story: When Bugsy (formerly named Dexter) was first discovered, he was a tiny puppy wandering alone in the middle of nowhere--hungry, frightened, and unsure of where to go. A caring passerby spotted him and brought him to safety, which ultimately was with one of our amazing Remy's Reach Animal Rescue foster families who loved and cared for him in every way. Despite everything he had been through, Bugsy greeted his foster family with a gentle wag of his tail, as if he knew his life was about to change.
❤️ Journey to a Forever Home: With a warm bed, regular meals, and plenty of love and affection from his amazing foster family, Bugsy quickly began to blossom. His playful puppy personality quickly emerged! But Bugsy wasn't meant to stay with us forever--he was waiting for the perfect family!
🏡 Happily Ever After: That perfect family found him and, oh, he is so loved! The moment his forever family met him, it was love at first sight! Now, Bugsy spends his days snuggled up with his new family, learning new tricks, chasing toys, and soaking up all the love he always dreamed to have! HIs forever family wanted to make sure we shared how thankful they are to have adopted him and that he is so very loved! And that he obviously is! This brave little pup truly got the happy ending he deserved!

📍 Sherman's Story: Sherman was always set on being the center of attention....the star of the show! He was ready for a life of adventure and knew he captured the hearts of all those who he crossed paths with! He was ready to fulfill his dream of adventure in his forever home!
❤️ Journey to a Forever Home: Sherman walked through the doors of Remy's Reach Animal rescue at the young age of 4 years old and only 6 pounds. Immediately Sherman showed his foster family that his small physical stature had nothing to do with his personality....Sherman commanded attention from everyone (hence one of his nickname's 'General Sherman')! He became fast friends with his foster humans, canines, and felines. Quickly Sherman's social calendar was filled and his foster family knew for sure that Sherman was all about attention and was a true socialite...in fact, he soaked the attention in 100%! Right away Sherman was a part of all travels and social activities at his foster home!
🏡 Happily Ever After: Sherman found his amazing forever family that was a perfect fit to live out his dream of adventure and worldwide travels. His wonderful forever family recently sent the following message: "We got Sherman on September 4, 2025 and were so excited to have him as our new family member. From the the time Remy’s Reach Animal Rescue introduced us to Sherman we knew he would be a perfect fit for us....he has a fun loving personality and loves new adventures. We are thankful for the wisdom of Remy’s Reach Animal Rescue to match us with Sherman. Every day he is with us we watch him encounter new things. It can be as simple as a chasing a grasshopper in the yard to running to visit the alpaca through the fence each day. He is pure joy! He will have many new adventures and we cannot wait to share them with Sherman. He could not be more loved! To rescue a pet is one of the most rewarding experiences. Thank you Remy’s Reach Animal Rescue for Sherman and all you do to rescue each animal."

📍 Mama's Story: Mama came to us from some amazing souls....it takes a village! When we got the call about Mama and her story, of course we said we'd take her into the rescue, no question! Mama had come very close to euthanasia when a very kind veterinarian knew Mama had much to offer and a happy life ahead of her, thus refusing to proceed with the request and, instead, contacting other very kind individuals who all helped to get Mama to safety. When Mama arrived at Remy's Reach Animal Rescue, she was very timid, terrified of people, and in need of socialization skills. We were ready to provide Mama whatever she needed to thrive!
❤️ Journey to a Forever Home: Mama came such a long way after joining her foster family at Remy's Reach Animal Rescue! She absolutely adored her foster family and loved cuddling and being right in the middle of her people. We learned that Mama preferred and needed a patient, loving home that was more on the quieter, calmer side when it came to humans! We also learned that when Mama becomes comfortable with you, you will absolutely have her as a friend and loyal companion for life!
🏡 Happily Ever After: Mama has an interesting story to share, but her past is long behind her and she's only looking forward! Today, Mama has made himself right at home with her amazing forever family and we couldn't be happier! She has two canine sisters and a wonderful human mom that has given her the life she's been dreaming of! We're so happy for you Mama!!!!
📍 Stevie's Story: Stevie was definitely an extremely accomplished and decorated show dog in his day...an impressive Grand Champion to be exact! However, when the time came for Stevie to leave his life in the show ring and become a house pet, he was unsure about what that entailed. When Stevie arrived at Remy's Reach Animal Rescue he quickly learned that life as a pet was something he definitely wanted!
❤️ Journey to a Forever Home: Stevie was a little shy at first and not very familiar with living life as a pet. However, with love and patience, Stevie has become comfortable with all the activities and routines of living in a comfy home!
🏡 Happily Ever After: Today, Stevie lives with his wonderful family in his forever home and enjoys all the comforts of life and being completely spoiled! Some of Stevie's favorite activities now are hiking the trail near his home, visiting his other dog friends nearby, and lounging in the comforts of his home! He sent us some photos below to show us just how good he is doing! Congrats Stevie!!!!
